How good for the environment are Cardboard Tubes

Cardboard tubes and cores are one of the most environmentally friendly types of packaging because not only are they completely recyclable, but also, the raw material comes from 100% recycled material. In fact the only impact on the climate is from the process of recycling the cardboard so it can go back into the cycle. This requires heat to dry to card once it has been pulped together from all the waste boxes and paper that you put in your recycling.

The waste cardboard is collected and taken to a board mill where it is graded for quality and all contaminants removed.

It is then shredded and mixed with water to make a pulp and is then rolled out and dried to make sheets of card.
